In a quest to share this new necklace with the people, I Instagram'd a picture of me wearing it (how inventive I know) and got a lot of positive feedback including a little tit for tat, name necklace wise. My online bud, Bari J (very talented author, quilter, crafter, diva extraordinaire), posted a pictured of her wearing her name necklace from the 80's. We joked it was a great way for people to remember our names and how to spell them (hers admittedly more than mine). Besides the obvious fun that ensued, I am really digging this necklace. It's good quality, the font is cute and it matches pretty much anything I put on. It's one of those versaitle pieces you can wear 3 days in a row with 3 different outfits... so I guess I'll keep it ;-).

ReplyDeleteI've been rockin a name necklace since 2002 - thanks to Sex and City (Carrie's name necklace had me obsessed and I had to have one). It is still one of my most fav pieces! Looks so good layered with other necklaces too - it IS such a versatile piece.

I got my necklace from Survival of The Hippest. It 14kt gold with a small diamond. I had it customized. I added a longer stronger gold chain and a bigger diamond. It has my twitter handle for the name. I do not care if it goes in or out of style. I love it and its a great conversation piece.

I chose them for the price, selection and they had a previewer so I could see my name in every style. Based on a little research I did when shopping around, the necklace that Carrie wore on S&TC has a curl on the end.
