There was a lot of music (a favorite with children, especially mine, a lover of the art of DANCE!), some tigers and an area specifically for children (that was fenced in, 'cause we have to corral those lil' doggies). With such beautiful Fall weather upon us, it was the perfect weekend to take part in a unique atmosphere. One of the great things about King Richard's Faire is that everyone is there to have fun and have the chance to act a little strange. Heck, I was heckled for being on my cell phone, I mean, I guess since they didn't exist in medieval times. Our kids played together, we took hunkin' bites out of turkey legs, the men folk threw knives and axes... we really let ourselves get immersed in the whole experience, one of way back when. I am looking forward to taking the Propah kids back in the future when they can really appreciate the tiger shows, the jousting tournament and getting to dress up like a real character.

We are Faire-Weather Fans
Before the cold weather snapped us in the butt, we made our way, as a little family, down to King Richard's Faire in Carver, MA. We met up with some other couples and their little ones for what we hoped would be a fantastic day out for both the kids and the adults. We'd been a couple of years ago, sans children, and it was a good time but let's just say that it was an experiment taking children ranging in age from 16 months to 4 years old to a Ren Faire... and it seems that it was a successful one.

There is one good weekend left to make your way down to Carver for some Fall fun at King Richard's Faire... Can't make it to the faire? Don't worry, you can follow the antics on Instagram!
